.. has definitely started! While standing with my wife in our
driveway and looking toward Cassiopeia because orange
Mars was still not high enough above the horizon, we saw
three Perseids within twenty minutes -- two of them were a
fiery orange color and the third was a very vivid bluish white
streak of light right through the western part of Cassiopeia's
W shape ... and we are still about 10 days away from this
year's maximum !!!
