In an area several mm wide of almost solid metal there was a circular area about 1 mm wide of small whitish crystals. I flipped the specimen over and the metal and crystal structure apparently goes through to the other side of the specimen. Looks almost like a tube of crystals surrounded by metal. Do any of you have any idea what I am looking at? Here is a link to some of the photomicrographs I took of the anomaly: Park Forest Crystals Thanks in advance for your educated guesses.
