I understand where Mark is coming from in a since, but I respectfully disagree with the statement that this is all about money and greed. I don't know Adam at all, I've never had the pleasure to correspond with him or purchase from him, but from what I've gathered over time he seems to be extremely passionate about meteorites and seems to be well liked and respected by many in the community. Now to Mike Farmer, I've dealt with Mike for several years and I can unequivocally state he is about as PASSIONATE about these things as any human being can be! He has gone out of his way to accommodate me over the years and I assure you all, it wasn't all about money. Mike has made meteorites his business and lively hood, not just a hobby or passion like a great majority of (part time)dealers! So money issues are very important to him -- it's his living! Also, Mike is very much a go-getter and a true explorer of the old tradition and meaning of the word. He's definitely spirited and pugnacious. He is in many ways the "new" Bob Haag in his field, not to say Bob H. is by any means slowing down or out of the picture. I'm sure Bob and Mike know what I mean. I understand Bob was told one time by Nininger, "to go were the meteorites are". I think Mike has proven to all he is willing to do the same thing almost regardless of the cost, monetarily, physically, or otherwise! I have the greatest respect for Bob, Mike and many others, both dealers and collectors, and the rather frequent jousting that goes on with this list is part of the wonderful passion I think everyone shares for our rather arcane and unique hobby! I think there is much passion on all sides, therefore, the bickering at times! Also, being in a "war zone" of sorts such as the Park Forest fall with more demand than supply readily available can't help but fray nerves and make for some tired souls! I think with some time and rest things will iron themselves out and Park Forest will be another great "around the camp fire" type of story with humor and levity to season the recipe! ...and just maybe one day not to far in the future more will become available and prices will come down so that most of us may be able to add a sample to our collections, and when we look upon it, we'll remember the bitter and the sweet!!!
