You and Greg are two of the few sane dealers = who=20 have an awareness about the price impact of your actions. Amazing TOTALLY amazing how rare this is.=20 I have been harping on this subject my entire career and have turned up the volume since the Monahans event (interesting I have become good friends with Steve since then and have a great deal of respect for him). However, I have yet to meet a dealer who can hear a word I say on the topic. They seam to either "get it" or not and=20 nothing said affects them one way or the other. I heard of dealers negotiating with people in Park Forrest only to have another dealer rudely interrupt with, "Hell, I'll give you = more than THAT for it!" right on the spot. This is the kind of unthinking avarice that impacts price - not your report to the list you = referenced. Thank you for being a conscientious dealer - and a damned good reporter, too.=20 Sincerely, Michael Blood=20 on 4/6/03 10:39 AM, Adam Hupe at adamhupe_at_attbi.com wrote: Dear List, Here we go again! I do not believe the prices would have been so high if = the stones where recovered by farmers and ranch-hands.
