They even ruled out Oman and Morocco, countries that are pretty safe compaired to Libya, or other north and central African countries... However, I don't think that a baited strewnfield is a good idea - it's rather cynical if you want my opinion. Believe it or not, we still have some pretty good educational and scientific documentations in our national TV, and we're still #%~*%#%# Osborne free ;-)) I'm still waiting for some more constructive input... Best, Norbert -----original message----- Norbert, Svend & list... Just wondering when central Africa qualified as civilized. >From what I hear, the words ''central Africa'' and ''civilized'' shouldn't even be used in the same sentence. If some film crew wants to go to a place where the locals would rather slit the throat of an American Crocodile Dundee wanna-be than look at him twice, then welcome to civilization... Good luck rounding up a film crew who would even consider travelling to that God-forsaken hell on Earth without a private army for personal protection. For a nice civilized ''Lights, Camera and ACTION'' film shoot, may I suggest the following. Take a nice big airconditioned motor-home and a couple of hundred bucks worth of pre-bought ''no-name brand'' Saharan Meteorites to ''Gold Basin'', or somewhere in the USA that looks like the gold basin area. Randomly scatter the meteorites then ''Roll film''. Camera captures big-game meteorite hunter picking up meteorites, and ''Cut'', that's a take. Time for the fully catered wrap-up party. Then it's off to search for big-foot! Now that's what I call civilized... These day's the folks who want reality based T.V. tune into crap like ''Survivor'' or The #%~*%#%# Osbornes. Sad but true... Szep, over & out..... Received on Sun 01 Sep 2002 08:01:25 PM PDT |
