I was reading the latest "Meteorite" and in the NEWS article "Annual Meteoritical Society Meeting", I found the following statement: "The unusual Niger meteorite Tafassasset was discussed by Jutta Zipfel, who suggested it is surely related to the CR chondrites, but has been severely metamorphosed and partly melted". Does that help answer the question?
