In the previous message, I meant to say 'just outside the CRATER rim'
rather than 'just outside the canyon rim'! It's getting late here.

Jeannie,
The material you bought could be oxidized Canyon Diablo material collected
on the surface just outside the canyon rim. H. H. Nininger used some of
this in some copies of his little booklet, A Comet Strikes The Earth.
This may or may not be what you have, but you might have someone check it
out for you.
The person should however return your money if you are not satisfied, even
if it is from Meteor Crater.
