The ~300kg stone, which broke in three pieces upon impact, was the largest stone meteorite known when in fell in 1866. (It's still the fourth-largest stony meteorite know, or so) At that time, the spot where it came down was on the eastern edge of the Austro-Hungarian empire. It's now in the Ukraine.
