Yikes! We truly are a nation of dolts. Thanks, Hollywood. It's amazing how often this comes up. Seems like every time a farmer finds a rock in a field after a nice, sonic-boom-producing bolide is seen/heard, you get reports of "experts" showing up with Geiger counters, and cordoning off the area. What a joke. I guess planting the "radioactive seed" in the general public's mind has one benefit -- if prevents them from picking up and contaminating fresh falls with their bare hands! --Rob ------_=_NextPart_001_01C19F0A.359FF7D0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META content="MSHTML 5.00.3315.2870" name=GENERATOR></HEAD> <BODY> <DIV><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=503524503-17012002>Hi Anne,</SPAN></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=503524503-17012002></SPAN></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=503524503-17012002>> </SPAN></FONT><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2>A gentleman came and told me this: He is a teacher and took his family to Meteor Crater last summer.<SPAN class=503524503-17012002><FONT color=#0000ff> </FONT></SPAN></FONT></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2><SPAN class=503524503-17012002><FONT color=#0000ff>></FONT></SPAN> There were quite a few visitors, and someone asked the guide on duty: " Are meteorites radioactive?"<SPAN class=503524503-17012002> <FONT color=#0000ff> </FONT></SPAN></FONT></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2><FONT color=#0000ff><SPAN class=503524503-17012002>></SPAN></FONT> The guide answered without hesitation: "Yes, most of them are."<SPAN class=503524503-17012002><FONT color=#0000ff> </FONT></SPAN></FONT></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2><SPAN class=503524503-17012002></SPAN></FONT></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2><SPAN class=503524503-17012002><FONT color=#0000ff>Yikes!
