You are correct Mike. I am still waiting to see the official info
for the proposed name Bensour, before I manufacture
a new aluminum label for collectors. As of November 6th
Jeff Grossman wrote that the NomCom has not discussed
it yet. It's not the classification that is in question, it's
the exact fall date and TKW that have some discrepancies.

We must all be patient on these matters.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, doesn't one have to wait until the =
classification is published by the Nomenclature Committee of the =
Meteoritical Society before anyone can say for sure what the official =
name is? =20

    Subject: [meteorite-list] update on kilabo/hadeja

I have been in contact with my source, and I found out that these =
(2) meteorites are the same. They fell in different areas, but it fell =
closer to hadeja, thus the name. Around 8 to 12 kilos were found. I also =
learned as of this thanksgiving, that this meteorite was officially =
classified here in chicago, and it will be classified under the name, K =
I L A B O, not hadeja. So it hurts me when I get private emails saying =
that I do not know what I am saying. Ijust needed to dig a little =
deeper. But it was classified as KILABO, not hadeja. Sorry for the =
uproar. Soon this piece will be hard to get as well as hard to find. =
More will be learned in tucson. This piece will be in the meteorological =
guide as kilabo.

                                            thank you, steve arnold, =
chicago
