Your students are obviously a very caring group to have written so eloquently and from the heart. They have shown what a "small world it is" and how unified "good-people" are regardless of country of origion. At my youngest son's school today (a very large suburban school), they had a "collection". Children brought in bags of coins to aid in the efforts taking place in New York city. The coins were piled in the hallway outside of the principals office. A large truck will be needed to haul away these coins as there were "that many" collected. The children ALL felt so proud of being able to "help". Most of them were wearing American Flag shirts and patriotic garb. Around my town, most are flying flags. We have put our own flag up also. We have all given blood. We have given money. We have done what we can and still our hearts feel heavy and sad...and we continue to pray for our missing family members. Reading what your students write...students from another country half around the world HELPS. Thank you and thank your students.
