<P>I have been sending 20 packages a day to the US for the past month and I&nbsp;havent had anything opened yet and nothing seems to have gotten lost yet but things are very slow. I had a couple express mail shipments that have taken 3 weeks but other than the slowness I have not had problems. Here in canada the post office's all have signs up saying that they are not guaranteeing the delivery times on their guaranteed delivery types of service to the US and I called Canada post who assured me that all mail is safe but just slow as customs inspectors go over it. I have not encountered anything unusual in my shipments to Europe. They all arrive when I expect that they would and though I have sent a few packages to asia and australia I havent sent enough to get an idea if things are normal there.</P>
<P>My last 300 kilo shipment of air freighted meteorites from&nbsp;&nbsp;morocco had a stamp on it saying that it was "X-rayed" which I have not seen before. Today I also got a mail package from morocco (Under a kilo) and customs opened it.With arabic writing on it that would be expected right now anyway I guess but they often open packages&nbsp;anyway since the customs people here in canada is pretty anal in comparison to the rest of the world anyway (Except maybe austria).</P>
<P>So dont stop bidding on ebay. Just give it a little extra time to arrive.</P>
<P>Cheers</P>

<DIV></DIV>&gt;I have had big problems sending to Europe through the US post office. I sent
<DIV></DIV>&gt;two packages via Express Mail (4 days GUARANTEED) on Sept. 24. Both arrived
<DIV></DIV>&gt;LAST WEEK!! Nearly 4 weeks time. Nice 4 day service. Same on the registered
<DIV></DIV>&gt;mail. VERY slow. Expect ~5 weeks in cases.

<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; Hello list!
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; There have been several questions on the list about mail service to and
<DIV></DIV>&gt;from
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; the US recently. I have only one case to report personally. I just
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; received a package (impactite) from Austrailia. It was postmarked on
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; October 13th and I received it Wednesday, October 24th. Not a bad travel
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; time, but not as rapid (from the postmarked date) as past items from this
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; same party to my house. The package had the appropriate customs tag, and
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; apparently whoever inspects the mail took it at face value, because there
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; was no tampering or attempt to open it. The original customs form signed
<DIV></DIV>&gt;by
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; the sender was intact over the package seal. This is only one event, and
<DIV></DIV>&gt;it
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; is between the US and Austrailia, not Europe, but it had a happy ending
<DIV></DIV>&gt;for
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; me.
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
