My local paper says that China is looking to launch a Lunar probe sometime soon. While this doesn't preclude the possibility that they are _also_ considering Mars, I think the Moon is what you're thinking of. It seems too early for them to plan going to Mars just yet... 1/4 million miles as opposed to 45 million and all that this implies. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bob Martino Can you really name a star? http://home.columbus.rr.com/starfaq/ "This is how men behave when they believe they have absolute knowledge." -Jacob Bronowski (speaking from the ashes of Auschwitz) Received on Sat 20 Oct 2001 12:41:03 PM PDT |
