Hello Charlie, Martin, and List!

In the third edition of the Meteorite Catalogue (1966, p. 130),
"Death Valley" is still listed as a separate entry:

Death Valley, Inyo County,
California, U.S.A.
Found 1956
36° 21' N / 116° 49' W
Stone. Olivine-bronzite chondrite.
B. Mason, Meteorites, 1962, p. 229, and (1).

The reference does not help much either because it is only
a listing of "Meteorites of the United States" (pp. 227-245).

As Charlie already stated, this Death Valley stone was later assigned
to the Plainview (1917) chondrite. The Blue Book also mentions a
reference that someone should examine more closely: Cat. Meteor.
Arizona State University, 1970, p. 36.

Best wishes,

Bernd
