[meteorite-list] Where does it go?

Lets assume that a 10 pound meteorite hits the atmosphere and totally burns
up never making it to the ground. Where does this 10 pounds of material go?
Does the earth become 10 pounds heavier?
That 10 pounds dont sound like much but over a couple billion years does
this add up in any appriciable way that it affects the earths mass, rotation
ect?
