No, you're right; i forgot to mention that teketites have been found in
areas where no impactors

are "known" to exist...

Tuguska like events are plausible, except at Tuguska no
appreciable material was recovered

and what was recovered was very minute, and i don't know how that material
compares to

"normal" tektites....also if that is the senario; why are tektites
structured as they are? wouldn't the

energies involved distort the tektite structure as well; not to
mention the size of some tektites

additionally, you misread my statement concerning the morphology of
tektites

i did not say they had no minerals or structure; i said AS meaning compared
to earth rocks

typical earth rocks...
