[meteorite-list] Speck specs

I made my diatribe about the value of "specks" last year. Since then, I
have been able to add milligram pieces of Chassigny, Nakhla, Lafayette,
and some of the more obscure CR and CK meteorites to my personal
collection, all for under $200. I will probably NEVER be able to see
bigger pieces of these meteorites in person, but I'm thrilled with the
bits I DO have.

Incidentally, if I can get my digital camera working, I'll post a picture
or two of the display I put up in the library where I work (nothing like
having your own personal soapbox.) You should see the number of
noseprints on the glass case at about 7-year-old height! I have a
Mundrabilla specimen I just got that I bring out if anyone wants to handle
a real piece of outer space. The kids pay even more attention to the
meteorites than the Star Wars display in the case next door.

Just doing my bit to encourage the next generation of collectors and
scientists...
