Hi all,
There is an extremely rare form of tektite - the rarest of all tektites
- a “Stretch” Tektite, formed after partial hardening, but before the
interior has solidified. Only a few have ever been known to exist.
Harvey Nininger found two of these from among over 50,000 tektites
collected over an 8 year period and wrote about them in an article,
TEKTITES THAT WERE PARTIALLY PLASTIC AFTER COMPLETION OF SURFACE
SCULPTURING, pg. 746, 747 The Published Papers of H.H. Nininger, 1971.
These were never made available to the public and his son-in-law still
has both of them. (Though I did see a museum produced replica of one of
them sell for $125- once.)
Now, a newley discovered specimen is available. If you would enjoy
seeing this icredible piece, I am offering it on eBay at:

        Best wishes, Michael
