Hello Mike and list,
1) KEIL K. et al. (1982) Suessite, Fe3Si: A new mineral in the North
Haig ureilite (Am. Mineral. 67, 126-131).
2) C.A. Goodrich (1992) Invited Review - Ureilites: A critical review
(Meteoritics 27-4, 1992, 327-352):
Four ureilites (North Haig, Nilpena, EET 83309, EET 87720) are
polymict. They are fragmental breccias containing lithic clasts
of typical monomict ureilite material and a variety of non-ureilitic
lithic clasts, set in a matrix of smaller mineral fragments, carbon,
metal, s u e s s i t e (Fe3Si), sulfides, minor chromite and minor
apatite (Jaques and Fitzgerald, 1982; Prinz et al., 1983; 1986; 1987;
Keil et al., 1982; Warren and Kallemeyn, 1989; 1991).
3) RUBIN A.E. (1997) Mineralogy of meteorite groups (Meteoritics 32-2,
1997, 231-247):
The silicide, s u e s s i t e, occurs in North Haig where it formed by
shock metamorphism (Keil et al., 1982).
Best regards,
Bernd
