I had not heard of the fall 12 miles north of Gretna until
I saw it on your catalog. However, I witnessed the Norton,
Kansas fall in Feb. of 1948. Norton is about 60 miles
west of where I live (Smith Center, Kansas). I was 11 years
old, and was watching my Mother mop the porch floor.
I was setting in the door way of the porch, when we
heard this terrific explosion, similar to a sonic boom
now days. Ran out side and there in the western sky
about 45 degrees up was 5 or 6 figure 8 trails
> (just like contrails) all intermixed.I will never forget
that sight or that sound.
