it would seem that given the wild variety of personalities and agendas of
listmembers, chaos will continue to reign if there are no limitations of
expression implemented on this list. as you know, even in a democracy
freedom of expression is delimited.
i propose for your consideration the following:
1. any singular sales offering should be limited to (pick a number) of
public postings;
2. an absolute intolerance of defamatory diatribes against fellow
subscribers -- (fans of freedom of expression, please note that this does
not preclude a subscriber's right to be obnoxious or boorish).
3. more subtlely, but so importantly: non-facts should not be expressed as
if they were factual...this is terribly misleading and compromises the
essence of an aspect of this forum -- the sharing of reliable information.
