Re: Sikhote Alin Iron meteorites
Dr. Simakov:
I am researching a paper on Nakhla (Mars/SNC) and am trying to locate allnone
specimens to arrive at a verified TKW (total known weight). The popular
literature claims a TKW of 40 kilos, yet documents from the scientists working
with the Egyptian's in the 1911-1912 era, show a TKW of only 10 k. If you
have any access to Russian records regarding their holdings, and any
subsequent distribution to other institutions (so I can avoid "double-
counting") this information would be very useful to me.
By the way, what are you proposing for a price on your Sikhote-Alins, and can
you better describe them ( dimensions, fusion crust, regmaglpts) and what safe
arrangements can be made for payment and delivery.
