In a message dated 97-10-11 11:18:22 EDT, you write:
<< I contacted one guy who thought a meteorite had fallen on his home and
he said he had found nothing and refused permission to search his
property, but then, he's a firefighter and they aren't known for high
intelligence.....:)

Hey! As a career firefighter, I resent that remark. He's smart enough to know
that meteorites have value and that he should have first crack at finding
something on his property. It would be like giving you permission to look for
a $1000 bill lost on his property without first looking thoroughly himself.
Sounds like he could be a lot smarter than you would like...which isn't a
display of lower intelligence. Sounds more like to me that you are miffed
because your greed got tweaked? I know there is at least one other
firefighter on this list...in what way did you come to the conclusion that
firefighters aren't known for high intelligence?
