did you check the Texas Fireball pass yesterday, ther might be large stones in the nearby new mexico area. jm ---------- De : Jim Dawdy[SMTP:jdawdy@usa.net] Date : samedi 11 octobre 1997 05:12 A : meteorite-list@meteoritecentral.com Objet : El Paso Meteorite News The Saturday edition of the El Paso Times showed a small picture of a woman who found a "possible" meteorite in her back yard. The picture is too grainy to allow good identification. Also worth noting is that the area this lady lives in is the same area as the 1914 Ysleta meteorite fall. The article also said researchers from Sandia and Los Alamos are going to be interviewing people in El Paso this weekend. I contacted one guy who thought a meteorite had fallen on his home and he said he had found nothing and refused permission to search his property, but then, he's a firefighter and they aren't known for high intelligence.....:) jim
