This year, the workshop is themed "*Recent Developments and Applications in earth sciences and archaeology of electron probe micro-analysis*". The upcoming virtual workshop is set to take place from 24-27 March 2025 featuring new Speakers and fresh topics compared to previous years. We will cover topics ranging from the basics of EPMA, conventional major element quantitative analysis to new developments in X-ray mapping, trace element analysis, analytical protocols for glassy materials and tephra, estimation of magma storage and ascent conditions of volcanics, magmatic sulfide implications, and geoarchaeology. Furthermore, live demonstrations are scheduled: (1) a live from JEOL instrument of how someone is measuring errors on JEOL PC EPMA software, and (2) a live from CAMECA EPMA instrument. *New for this year*: *Geo-archaeology* presentations featuring case studies from *Pompeii*, and the use of *meteorite iron during the Ancient Egypt era* . *POST-WORKSHOP BENEFITS:* - All participants will have access to recorded materials, presentations, and transcripts for up to two weeks after the workshop concludes. - During the workshop, attendees will receive a link to a platform where they can submit questions or comments. The respective speaker will respond within a couple of weeks after the workshop ends.
