[meteorite-list] Searching for meteorites beware the attractionGreetings, The article is a little misleading. They show a photo of a sporadic meteor or possibly a meteor that is part of a shower. Then state it falls to Earth, which most burn up in the atmosphere. Then suggest meteorite hunters go and hunt for it. Most meteorite producing events are usually much brighter than that. Writers of such articles should mention that meteor showers and sporadic meteors are usually from cometary events. Meteorite producing events are from asteroid collision events that contain enough material to reach the ground before they burn up. Of course there is more to it than that.
