A great search by the Barrington Family for the main mass that was thought to exist below the crater was conducted. No great mass was every found. Later on Harvey Nininger was able to take measurements of the soil where little spheroids were found and came up with the mass of the meteoroid that created the awesome feature named meteor crater. 757.7 grams Price: $995.00 Sikhote Alin whole with thumbprints. The meteorite lay on an ice-free slope 500 m from the shore and was partly covered with gneiss boulders. There was no crater and no crushing of rocks discovered. The meteorite has temporarily been left where disco?vered. The specimen found is the sixth from the Cape York me?teorite shower.
