Meteorite List Archives for [meteorite-list] A David New StoryYes, Greg, that does sound like David New. But believe it or not, there are still a few of us old-timers around, there is Blaine Reed, and there is me. And I do keep track of what some of my long-time customers like. Some of them are now more Friends than Customers.? As for David, he is fine and enjoying fully his retirement.?? I still have a lot of specimens in my collection and preserved his info cards. As I go through my collection I will probably thin down pieces and put David's card back with his specimen and offer those for sale in the future. You are right Greg, there use to be a lot of trust between the few dealers and a limited number of collectors. I can remember Compuserve and the astronomy forum. I met Joseph Murakami there and we started perhaps one of the first meteorite forums. The Sysop allow us a place on the astroforum to talk meteorites. I think Bernd was also on there as I had downloaded some information he put out for meteorites. Before this time I did a lot of letter writing to dealers asking for sales lists as there was so little information to read about meteorites. --AL Mitterling Mitterling Meteorites On 7/20/21, Gregory Shanos via Meteorite-list <meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com> wrote: > > > ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
