Hi Michael -- yes, it ended up in the drink. I've got it on Santa Ana radar (KSOX) near "Fortymile Bank"
at an altitude of 11.3 km at 14:39:03 UT (6:39:03 am PST). Missed the SoCal coast by about 70 km. :-(

Unfortunately it appears that if anything did make it to the ground it landed in the Pacific Ocean.
