It got me interested in meteorites also. If I remember correctly, Bob was holding an iron meteorite maybe Canyon Diablo, and he had been flying an ultra light plane, which may have been in the image. The picture was probably taken in Arizona. The issue was published in the early to mid 1990's. I have asked Bob himself but he doesn't remember. The reason I'm interested in this issue in particular is because it was a major turning point for me when I read the article. It was the moment I realized that I could find a meteorite, something that had never entered my mind prior to that day. Through the years that magazine went missing and I'd like to get another copy, get Bob to sign it,and hang it on the wall. > > Sincerely, > Larry Atkins > ? > IMCA # 1941 > Ebay?alienrockfarm > ? > > > > ------------------------------ > > Message: 3 > Date: Sun, 22 Nov 2015 11:29:38 -0500 > From: Larry Atkins <thetoprok at aol.com> > To: meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com > Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] Smithsonian Magazine / Bob Haag > Message-ID: <151300787ec-47c4-158a8 at webstg-m08.mail.aol.com> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 > > Hi List, > > Mystery solved!
