See it here http://www.mrmeteorite.com/newcaliforniafall.htm or keep reading, This meteorite fell October 23, 2015 near wine country just east of Paso Robles California in an area called Creston. To date less than 800 grams (4 small stones) of this fall have been recovered and nearly all is already locked up in collections. In fact, as far as we know only the 11 slices below (and 1 end cut) which were cut from the 102 gram stone pictured at the top of the page will ever be available. This meteorite, likely an L6 has shock veins crossing though each slice. According to the classifying scientist it is a commonly seen feature in other samples he studied from this fall. Please call or email if you're interested in a slice! See it here http://www.mrmeteorite.com/newcaliforniafall.htm -- Rock On!
