[meteorite-list] Slow fireball over Flagstaff on 2/18/2015

Date: Fri, 20 Feb 2015 19:00:47 +0000 Message-ID: <4A4FA25E4DFE584AA580F4F069F9B4409FC74A36_at_EMP-EXMR104.corp.leidos.com> Hi All, Randomly checking the NMSU site for recent fireballs, I noticed that Steve Schoner's camera picked up a bright, slow-moving one Wednesday during evening twilight: http://skysentinel.nmsu.edu/allsky/viewer/1355276 Notice that the fireball is actually *rising* in elevation angle as it approaches from the north-northeast, reaches its highest elevation east of Flagstaff, then descends into the south before it fades and fragments. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a second camera that recorded it, so optical triangulation is out. But at that time of the evening there should have been plenty of witnesses.
