I am happy to announce a new stone I am offering for sale. NWA 8417 is probably by far the GREENEST chondrite out there as it is loaded with orthoppyroxene throughout the matrix. It was a journey getting this stone classified, as I first thought it was a diogenite, then an ungrouped achondrite, and finally (after o-isotopes) an unique LL7 chondrite. I wanted to describe the stone as Katol-like, but was told to focus on its green color instead as it is by far more green than Katol even though it has similar clasts (Oops, I guess I just compared it to Katol... hehe).

Please take a look at my site to see what is available. The color is very hard to accurately capture on camera, but CLICKING on the pictures will ZOOM and expose the green clasts within the matrix. Priced at 12/g, I don't have much wiggle room to negotiate on this one as I am already loosing money. I am keeping prices lower because each slice is stained to one degree or another (unfortunately), but at the same time each slice is LOADED with green!!! I am hoping that $12/g balances the staining with the uniqueness of this stone(I may decide to raise the prices depending on comments and the way it is selling).
