I am thrilled to announce the discovery of the very first lunar meteorite ever found in North America! It was found under the pier, near the surf-line, at a central Florida beach. I am not revealing the exact location at this time because I want to continue hunting the strewnfield for additional specimens. The specimen that I found is surprisingly-fresh, and it has a very hard crust with the most unusual markings I have ever seen. USA Lunar #001 : http://s268.photobucket.com/user/Meteoritethrower/media/beach-meteorite.jpg.html More news later as subsequent recoveries are announced....This strewnfield promises to be particularly rich and will require extensive searching...and sunblock...and beer....
