This is in direct disagreement with the Smithsonian Magazine article, "Mining for Meteorites", 1999 which claims a dislodged piece of the Moon is the most coveted of all. This still holds true today.?? I think most people, not only collectors, relate more to the Moon because it can be seen, has been romanticized since ancient times and most lunar meteorites have magnitudes better aesthetic qualities.? Interestingly enough, there is multiple times more Martian meteorite material available by weight than Lunar material.
