As for the shockwave question....debatable. Carancus in Peru Had a shockwave that killed a llama and a ewe, but also had ejected A mudball filled with meteoritic fragments hit the roof of a house. (See photo and story about 1/3rd down the page at: http://michaelbloodmeteorites.com/Hammers3.html Under, CARANCUS) So, given the roof stones and the woman struck, Chelyabinsk is Definitely a hammer fall...though it remains to be seen if we will end up With specimens KNOWN to be hammer stones. (Ironically, hundreds Of hammer stones will end up in collections - but unidentified as such).
