Hi All
I would like to announce an exciting new lunar meteorite NWA 6950

NWA 6950 Lunar Gabbro
Found 2011 in Northwest Africa TKW: 1649 gr

Description: NWA 6950 is a lunar igneous rock known as an olivine
gabbro, a coarse-grained cumulate that crystallized inside
a lunar magma chamber after the basalt was erupted on
to the surface. Dated at 2.86 billion years, it is one
of the youngest lunar rocks known, and is paired with NWA
2977 and the olivine clasts in NWA 773. It is composed
of olivine, two pyroxenes, plagioclase partially converted
to maskelynite, and minor amounts of armalcolite, a mineral
first identified in lunar basalts, and named for the Apollo 11
astronauts. It is also traversed by an intricate network of
impact-generated black glassy veins. Truly a stunning sample.

The thin glassy shock veins are what really set this one apart from
most other lunars especially against the light colored matrix. This
was cut on a wire saw that created some very thin slice with maximum
surface area. Most are around 1.6 mm thick. Slices are competitively
priced at $800/g with pieces less than 1 gram at $900/g. Email me if
you have any questions.

0.25 g end cut $225
0.50 g end cut $450
0.58 g end cut $522
1.61 g slice $1288
1.93 g slice $1544
2.45 g slice $1960
3.38 g slice $2704
