Too distant to be easily spotted by Earth-based telescopes, the unseen planet could be gravitationally tugging on small icy objects past Neptune, helping explain the mystery of those objects' peculiar orbits." In particular, the hypothesized planet accounts for the orbits of the SDO's (Scattered Disc Objects), the biggest of which is Sedna. Other astronomers say the math is sound, but the test is to look for it. This method, in the past, resulted in the discovery of Neptune and Pluto, so stay tuned.
