Notice the trajectory and angle. Again I doubt any specimens will be found West of the Lake. This will set the standard for all subsequent falls. One glaring error that needs to be corrected however: "They landed in a wide area that includes Sutter's Mill, where the first gold was discovered by James Marshall in January of 1848. That discovery led to the worlds largest migration in history, known as the California Gold Rush." NOT! 300,000 miners made up the Gold Rush. The world's largest historical migration was the movement of tens of millions of Chinese from rural areas to the cities. After WWII, tens of millions of Europeans migrated (16.5 million Germans migrated from Eastern Europe to Western Europe,) the Russian Civil War caused millions to migrate. Millions of slaves in America migrated from the South to the North. Millions migrated during the collapse of the Ottoman Empire and the establishment of Pakistan. Nearly half a million Jews migrated to the former Palestine. Sorry for the OT rant, but if you're going to talk about history, get the facts straight! Howabout that four-year old girl that found a meteorite?
