Imagine if Tagish Lake had been smaller pieces and spread out over the Sutter's Mill strewnfield. Much of it would be pulverized. Did anyone catch any photos of the dust cloud? I've seen some photos, but nothing yet that shows a dust cloud. I just updated the tally page to reflect Dr. Jennisken's latest update and to reconcile it against what I learned last night. A couple of the existing stones were reported and assigned SM numbers. The report of the big stone on Facebook last night, turned out to be the new Carey stone main mass (35.1g). Does anyone know the fate of the new main mass? Is it being donated? Is it being sold? Did anyone buy it yet? What's the asking price? Inquiring minds want to know. ;) The current unofficial TKW is 363.84g Tally page - http://www.galactic-stone.com/pages/lotus Best regards and happy huntings, MikeG -- ----------------------------------------------------------- Galactic Stone & Ironworks - MikeG Web: http://www.galactic-stone.com Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/galacticstone Twitter: http://twitter.com/GalacticStone RSS: http://www.galactic-stone.com/rss/126516 ----------------------------------------------------------- On 5/8/12, Michael Farmer <mike at meteoriteguy.com> wrote: > This is a fragile meteorite, while there is little doubt that the strew > field is large and thousands of pieces are on the ground, I also believe > that there are unlikely to be many larger pieces.
