There is a difference between the well supported assertion that most slow, bright fireballs produce meteorites, and the unsupported assertion that most meteorites derive from parent bodies that produced substantial meteors. (There's no way a stone this size was traveling 1000 kph when it impacted; maybe a third of that at most. Not that the terminal speed is relevant to any details of the meteor event, however.)
