Hello World Meteorite Collectors;

After reading so many posts about the Meth heads and the crazy guy in the
Northern part of the strewn field area and about 5 or 6 different
descriptions of what is and what is NOT a Black Panther I couldn't help but
jump in.

METH is All Across America, Canada and Mexico, it's not just from Oregon to
Texas or anywhere in a pocket in between. It's from Newfoundland to British
Colombia up to Alaska and the Yukon Territories down the West Coast of the
US into Baja and through Mexico and Central America. If you Google Meth and
the "Sinaloa Cartel" you will find that "El Chapo" Guzman, the
MULTI-Billionaire head Bandito of the Sinaloa Cartel who is on FORBES
magazine's Richest Men in the world has started making his Meth in Central
America after having been busted for over $100 Million US dollars in Meth
related Chemicals in Mexico. Meth is in New York City, Miami, Atlanta,
Chicago, you name it. I've seen fires reported all over the Midwest and East
coast and the South and it's not just a Texas or West Coast US thing and
I've read of them and it's very common for people to use a POP Liter bottle
to shake it up and mix it. They may be cooking it in Texas for themselves
or to transport it to the rest of the US. You would think that Texas would
pay more attention to Meth kitchens than other social issues they seem to
want to get involved in. Yes, you can "sometimes" tell a true Meth Head by
their gaunt drawn faces, bad rotten and worn down teeth from grinding them
and pimples and sores, but not all the "cookers" actually use the stuff.
Throw out all the stereotypes since you can't peg them all.

Next, stay off of anyone's property that hasn't given you Personal
permission to hunt on it. You should ask the local Sheriff or Police if it's
dangerous or not to go up to someone's house if you're not sure or honk on
your way up the drive to let them know you're coming if you're that brave or
foolish to decide you want to take a chance.

BLACK Panthers or mixed black and tan or solid or with rings or spots or
underlying coloration are explained very well and their Melanistic color

Panthers, that are about the size of our North American species that
includes the names used interchangeably throughout portions of America as
either Cougar, Mountain Lion or Puma. Black Panthers are indeed natives of
South and Central America and also found in Mexico and in Asia they are
called Jaguars. Yes, they may have wondered into any of the border states
along the US-Mexican border or as has been mentioned belonged to some exotic
breeder and have been released or escaped. Texas has many ranches and
wildlife refugees and remember what happened in Ohio just a few months ago.
There is always the possibility that it's just a Cougar-Puma-Mountain Lion
and it looked "BLACK" at night to some of the locals or METH heads who
probably can't see well anyhow with their pupils screwed up by drugs, but
it doesn't really matter since a large CAT from any of the wild species and
relatives of the Panther or Cougar family are large and will prey on smaller
animals. In Florida the "Florida Panther" is more native to the Everglades
and has become almost extinct as it is an endangered animal but its numbers
have increased since the 1970s after almost being wiped out. The Bobcat is
NOT at all a Panther and it's NOT a Cougar. A Bobcat, is just as the name
implies, it has a "BOBBED Tail" as in a short stubby tail and is a much
smaller animal in size and weight than a Black Panther or a
Cougar-Puma-Mountain Lion and is about twice the size of an average house
cat with tufted ears and ranges from Southern Canada to Northern Mexico.

Look them all up on Google, MSN or Yahoo for photos of them. Happy hunting
to all of those out in Texas or wherever you live and hoping you are safe
and find many meteorites. To those that said be more careful around the
druggies and Meth heads, and property owners, that is true, the Cougar or
The Black Panther, or whatever kind of a large cat it is will most likely be
more afraid of you than some Meth head looking for money or more drugs.
