Eros is an S-class asteroid based on reflectance measurements. ?So is Itokawa, the asteroid visited by the Japanese Hayabusa sample return mission. ?The tiny shards returned by Hayabusa show that Itokawa is an LL-type chondritic body. ?So, Eros is quite likely an LL chondrite body as well.
