[meteorite-list] Reason why meteorite theft is on the rise?

Hi List and Happy Holidays. Just was wondering... what in your opinions may
have helped create an increase in meteorite theft? For example did it start
from the news media coverage of a meteorite say like Carancas? Was it when
some of the Lunar samples when up on the auction block showing the value of
meteorites were better then gold? Did or does the media weigh heavily on the
value of meteorites to its viewers? In your opinion, what was the defining
moment or incident that opened up a Pandora's box to the increase in
meteorite theft?
