On this approach to Earth, Toutatis will pass within 4.3 million miles - that's very close in astronomical terms for an object that is 3.4 miles in diameter! Hi List. For those interested there will be a large asteroid (4179 Toutatis) that will make a close flyby of Earth over the next few days.
