Don?t have a Facebook account though Could please you make your photos viewable for non-Facebook members too? This is my solution in (also) sealed glass and aluminium (including construction drawing): http://alturl.com/2i8i8 It works perfectly! Not for sale, but free for everybody to copy. All the best, Rob Lenssen -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: meteorite-list-bounces at meteoritecentral.com [mailto:meteorite-list-bounces at meteoritecentral.com] Namens Warren Sansoucie Verzonden: zaterdag 19 november 2011 19:38 Aan: meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com Onderwerp: [meteorite-list] Need some input! Hello List - ?Rex Scates and I are building some new cases designed specifically for meteorite display and storage. These are cases made from aluminum with glass and they are sealed to keep the outside environment away from your specimen. This will help with humidity issues. There will be hygrometers placed in some of them as well as areas to house silicates for added security. I have already constructed some custom cases, they can be viewed on my facebook page. You can find me on there at Warren Sansoucie. Just send a friend request if needed. What we need from all of you is some serious input. Before we go into production, we need to know everyone's desires on dimensions. What size case would you want if it were available? How deep would you like it to be? I can manufacture any size here in my own shop but we need to understand what generic sizes would be best to mass produce for everyone to enjoy. So please email Rex or myself at warren3174 at hotmail.com or rexscates at comcast.net . We would really appreciate some input. There will be customization available. Custom made spring loaded struts for the lid. Pressurized models filled with an inert gas.Back lit case mods for pallasites. You can see an example of a back lit Brahin display on my facebook as well. The case was built for Rick Thompson's specimen. Thanks in advance for your help! King Regards, Warren Sansoucie ? ______________________________________________ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html Meteorite-list mailing list Meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list Received on Sat 19 Nov 2011 02:50:22 PM PST |
