I did however, meander through back roads and cane fields this morning to get to Honoli'i bay, a local surf spot to witness some storm surging from high above the waterline on a pali (cliff). I have compiled a photo album of that and other images from around the state on Facebook, that can be seen here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2116938&id=1394318075&l=2d948bc18c There is also a great timelapse of the tidal surge during the night on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjCV182S5y4 We give great thanks to ke akua for sparing any loss of life, although some property damage was incurred. Our thoughts and prayers now turn to the people of Japan.
