Preferably a friable type that wouldn't do too much damage, and maybe I could get hit in the left arm - I could afford to have that one in a sling for a little while. Or maybe a big ugly bruise on my shoulder. Now, if we are talking about a lunar or martian, then I'd go a little further and possibly take a limp or some other non-crippling long term effect. I'd like to see Gaddafi struck in the head by a 5-kilo silicated iron. ;) Best regards, MikeG ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike Gilmer - Galactic Stone & Ironworks Meteorites Website - http://www.galactic-stone.com Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/galacticstone News Feed - http://www.galactic-stone.com/rss/126516 Twitter - http://twitter.com/galacticstone Meteorite Top List - http://meteorite.gotop100.com EOM - http://www.encyclopedia-of-meteorites.com/collection.aspx?id=1564 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- On 2/24/11, Richard Kowalski <damoclid at yahoo.com> wrote: > OK, > > the termite threadlet raised a morbid question in my mind. > > What would it be worth to be struck by a meteorite? > > Would you want to be struck indirectly like Elizabeth Hodges was in Alabama, > or directly.
