Hi MikeG,
I would like to add that blocking an app does not remove it from your
profile nor does it stop the app from harvesting you and your friends
personal information, it simply blocks it from posting on your wall. And if
it's posted and you click block then it's already done it's damage.

You should also check the Application security area regularly and remove all
apps that you don't use or recognize, go to Account >> Privacy Settings >>
Apps and Websites >> Apps you use. Facebook doesn't make it easy to check
this, intentionally, but it is a good idea to purge the list of apps
periodically. My volume of junk messages and emails goes way down after
purging.

Have a great weekend,
Rob

Facebook -viral spam app warning

> Hi Folks,
>
> This is a heads-up for Facebook users. There are some new viral-spam
> applications going around. These are variations on a previous similar
> scam. The app will claim to show you who visits your profile, like a
> stat-tracker does on a personal website. However, visitor data is
> held in private by FB and nobody or no app can show you this data.
> It's a complete scam. These apps have names like "See Who Stalks You".
>
> If you give the app permission to access your profile, the app will

> I am posting this to Met-List because I noticed that 3 members of this
> List have already been tricked by this app.

> In the future, keep this in mind - scammers use these apps to gain
