Seems the analysis crew isn't having much better luck that some of the meteorwrongs and 'rites posted to the list. No substitute for material in hand ;-! (which makes meteorite collecting more revealing than astronomy at times) the howardite paper, again, was: http://arxiv.org/ftp/arxiv/papers/1110/1110.4113.pdf ref: Ultraviolet spectroscopy of Asteroid (4) Vesta, Jian-Yang Li, Dennis Bodewits, Lori M. Feaga, Wayne Landsman, Michael F. A?Hearn, Max J. Mutchler, Christopher T. Russell, Lucy A. McFadden, Carol A. Raymond, Icarus, Dec. 2011, Pages 640-649. All has been very quiet on the Dawn front...should be interesting when all the data is put together....seems there are still doubts! http://www.open.ac.uk/blogs/meteorite/?p=876 Graham ______________________________________________ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html Meteorite-list mailing list Meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list Received on Thu 01 Dec 2011 02:35:59 PM PST |
